When Mr. B Came to Us
Mr. B, a 57-year-old male, came to us weighing 106.8 kg with complaints of constant fatigue, numbness, and a burning sensation in the hands and legs, and a constant feeling of stress. He also had a history of low back surgery for spinal canal stenosis one year earlier. As a result, his low back movements were restricted, and he experienced occasional low back pain.

Understanding His Metabolic Status and Physical Condition
To evaluate his metabolic status, a blood analysis was done. The findings showed elevated cholesterol levels, with total cholesterol at 217 mg/dl, LDL cholesterol at 125 mg/dl, triglycerides at 157 mg/dl, and HDL cholesterol at 35 mg/dl. Along with these metabolic concerns, his restricted low back movement and occasional pain were also taken into consideration while planning the course of treatment.

A 21-Day Treatment Plan
Mr. B spent 21 days at Sitaram Beach Retreat and was given a treatment plan designed to address inflammation, excess fat, digestion, low back pain, and stress. The treatment began with different Kizhi and Dhara therapies to reduce inflammation, followed by Utsadanam to mobilise excess fat. To correct Agni, Acha Snehapanam was done with Guggulutiktakam Ghrutham, followed by Virechanam with Avipathi Churnam as detoxification. This was followed by strengthening and rejuvenation treatments including Pizhichil (Kayaseka) and Njavarakizhi. Pichu was done on the low back to strengthen the spine, while 2 Sessions of Matravasti and 1 Sessions of Kashayavasti were given to reduce low back pain and support digestion. Sirodhara was also done to relax the mind.

Changes Seen After 21 Days
At the end of 21 days of treatment, Mr. B showed significant improvement. He lost 6.8 kg, his energy levels increased, and he felt calmer. The burning sensation and numbness in his palms and legs reduced, and the flexibility of his low back improved. His cholesterol levels also showed improvement, as seen in the investigation results below.
