Yoga, pranayama and meditation at Sitaram
The word “Yoga” means “union”in sanskrit. Yoga aims to attain a union between body, mind and the soul.
Founded in ancient India as a way of life to attain moksha (heaven) and later developed as an excellent exercise for the body and mind, yoga ,when practiced correctly, will help us attain better health as well as connect us with our inner self.
Yoga is considered as an exercise which helps in healing the body and mind.
Meditation is a medicine for the mind. While making us calm, it helps to improve our focus of mind and trains us to attain better control over our emotions.
Pranayama consists of meditative controlled breathing techniques which not only strengthens the mind but also acts as a cleansing exercise for the respiratory system and sinuses.
At Sitaram beach retreat, yoga, meditation and pranayama have been incorporated to aid Panchakarma and other treatments transforming into a catalyst in the healing process.
Our experienced instructors will train you at a basic or advanced level of yoga based on your prior experience with yoga.
There are general sessions open to all, but you can also have personal sessions as required and recommended by the doctorsto practice exercises which specifically suit your health condition or requirements.
You are advised to avoid yoga and pranayama on the days of the ghee therapy and on the cleansing days.
Laughter yoga (Hasyayoga) is a practice involving prolonged voluntary laughter. Laughter yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. Forced laughter soon turns into spontaneous and contagious laughter. Laughing for a sustained period of time is key to reaping the health benefits of laughter yoga.
The benefits of laughter yoga are
